How to wire the stepper motor? Stepper motor wiring diagram
Release Date : 2020-09-04 17:56:28

Stepper motor is an electromagnetic actuator that can convert digital input pulses into rotation or linear incremental motion. Each input of a pulse motor shaft steps a step angle increment. The total rotation angle of the motor is proportional to the number of input pulses, and the corresponding speed depends on the input pulse frequency. Stepper motors are usually used for positioning control and constant speed control.
First, let's take a look at the wiring method for connecting stepper motors.

The second step is to connect the power supply of the stepper motor driver. If our stepper motor uses DC 24V power supply, it can share a switching power supply with the meter control.
The third step, take a look at the control wiring connecting the stepper motor driver and the meter controller:
1. Connect the positive pole of the pulse input signal and direction input signal of the stepper motor driver to the 5V terminal of the meter control.
2. Connect the negative end of the pulse input signal of the stepper motor driver to the Y1 output terminal of the meter control.
3. Connect the negative terminal of the direction input signal of the stepper motor driver to the Y2 output terminal of the meter control.
4. The next step is to set the subdivision of the stepper motor driver. Generally, it can be placed at around 8 (1600). After preliminary debugging, set the subdivision actually needed.

5. Set the forward rotation setting of the stepper motor, refer to the setting, and realize forward rotation in one line. X1 is the start switch for forward rotation.
6. Stepper motor reverse setting: X2 is reverse start switch, Y1 outputs pulse, Y2 outputs direction signal. Two lines realize the reverse action.
