STM42

The STM42M series of integrated stepper servo motors is a high-performance, low-power stepper servo product independently developed by NiMotion. Based on the excellent closed-loop control system and the integrated design concept, this product integrates the stepper motor, encoder and driver into one, adopts FOC (field-oriented control), supports communication buses such as RS485 and CANopen, and has the characteristics of compact size and simple wiring. The stepper servo motor has the dual functions of a servo motor and a stepper motor, and the price is only at the level of the stepper motor, which can provide a cost-effective solution for applications that require the performance of the servo motor.


Product Features

Highly integrated design

Integrates Stepper motors, encoders and drives into a single compact unit, so no external drive is required. Compared with conventional separated solutions it saves considerable installation space, needs less wiring, and makes commissioning and maintenance easier.

Advanced Drive Algorithm

Adopts FOC (field-oriented control) and SVPWM for smooth torque output, excellent low-speed performance and lower operating noise and vibration.

High Precision Encoder Feedback

Built-in 17-bit encoder (multi-turn absolute counting, automatic storage of power loss) provides real-time position and speed feedback for more accurate closed-loop control; multi-turn absolute counting and automatic position storage on power loss mean no re-homing is needed after power-up.

Multi-bus communication support

Supports CANopen and RS485 communication, allowing quick connection to mainstream PLCs, motion controllers and host systems, with flexible networking and easy expansion.

Standard CiA 402 Sport Mode

Supports CiA 402 standard motion modes (PP, PV, HM, CSP, CSV, etc.) as well as position mode, velocity mode and torque mode, ensuring compatibility with mainstream fieldbus motion-control architectures and making replacement and commissioning easier.

Wide Voltage Input

Wide input voltage range of 12 ~36 VDC, suitable for various power-supply environments and giving greater flexibility in system integration and retrofitting.


Application in AGV Equipment

This integrated stepper servo motor series is applicable to AGV drive wheels, steering actuators, lifting platforms, and fork positioning mechanisms. Its compact integrated design saves vehicle space, leaving more room for batteries and cargo. Built-in encoder enables full closed-loop control, adapting to floor irregularities and load variations. Multiple communication protocols are supported for compatibility with various navigation systems.
