A blow molding machine is a mechanical device used to manufacture plastic bottles. Its working principle is to feed preheated plastic pellets or preformed plastic preforms into a mold, and use high-pressure air to blow the plastic into the shape of a bottle.
Process Flow
The working process of a blow molding machine is usually divided into two steps: stretching and blowing.
First, the plastic pellets or preforms are heated to a temperature that makes them ductile.
These plastic pellets or preforms are then fed into the mold and formed into the shape of a bottle through stretching and blow molding processes.
During the stretching process, the mold stretches the plastic pellets or preforms into an elongated tube. Then, during the blowing process, high-pressure air is injected into this tube, causing it to expand and fill the entire mold cavity. When the plastic cools and solidifies, the mold is opened and the finished bottle is removed.
Blow molding machines can produce plastic bottles of various shapes and specifications, including beverage bottles, cosmetic bottles, cleaning product bottles, etc. They are widely used in packaging industries such as food and beverage, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, and daily chemicals.
With the continuous improvement of modern automation, modern blow molding machines typically require dozens of stretch blow molding heads at a time, with each set of stretch blow molding having multiple cylinders or motors. However, conventional motors have complex wiring, and the driver + motor configuration takes up a large amount of space. In addition, modern bottle products come in a wide variety of types, and the operating environment may involve the possibility of rinsing and splashing.
